In this slide I show the relationship between absolute level of risk for coronary heart disease event to the numbers needed to treat. If the risk is around 20 to 30%, numbers is between 10 and 20 cases. For some conditions like mild hypertension with 10% of risk the numbers needed to treat are about 50 cases for 10 years.
