Pitt received a 2023 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award

The University of Pittsburgh has received a 2023 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from Insight Into Diversity magazine.

As a recipient of the annual award, which recognizes U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion, Pitt and 108 other schools were featured in the magazine’s November issue. It is the University’s seventh consecutive year receiving this honor.

Pitt has been recognized for programs and initiatives such as the racial equity consciousness institute, Latinx and race and equity cluster hiring initiatives and the annual Diversity Forum, which is aimed at increasing diverse representation and inclusive engagement across campus.
