Mark your calendar for the University of Pittsburgh’s annual Diversity Forum on Jan. 23-24, 2024. It’s the first time the event, hosted by Pitt’s Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and the Division of Student Affairs, will be part of MLK Social Justice Week.

Anyone in the Pitt community and beyond can propose a workshop related to this year’s theme, "Amplifying Our Voices Through Active Listening and Constructive Dialogue.” Through diverse programming and community-led sessions and presentations, the 2024 Diversity Forum will explore what dialogue and discourse look like on a university campus at a time of extreme social media and political polarization.

Proposals — which can include workshops, panels and presentations — should run for 60 minutes and be formatted for virtual presentation.

The deadline to submit has been extended to Nov. 17. Questions? Email diversity [at] pitt.edu.
