Sign up for two workshops for single moms in the Pitt community

Registration is open for two workshops that will focus on advice and self-care for single mothers. Although programming centers on single moms, any faculty or staff member at the University can attend the sessions, which are sponsored by a Year of Emotional Well-Being grant.

Single Mom Strong will offer coping strategies for when you don’t have all the answers from three therapists, who are also mothers. Cassandra Spearman, owner of Tea Snob, will also provide a self-care experience for attendees. Register for the April 5 event.

Summer might be associated with relaxation, but the change in routine can be an unexpected source of stress. Managing Summertime Stress will feature a discussion with Shallegra Moye on managing stress while kids are out of school. Urban farmer and educator Farmer Girl Eb will host a self-care activity. Register for the May 3 event.

Both events will take place virtually and in Posvar Hall.
