A person walks by the Cathedral of Learning.

In today's connected world, understanding different cultures is crucial for a well-rounded education. The Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs (NRIEP) offer summer funding for graduate students to go on a global experience.

In 2023, more than 20 Pitt graduate students received NRIEP scholarships to conduct independent research or join study abroad programs in countries like Japan, Italy, Ghana, Germany, Korea and Nepal.

Besides financial support, successful applicants get to join a network of like-minded individuals who love exploring and learning about the world. These scholarships are your ticket to expanding your horizons, both academically and personally.

Submit your application by Feb. 15.
