Typing on computer

The Office of the Provost is offering a limited number of opportunities to participate in a new faculty development certificate program and receive a one-year, all-inclusive online Academic Impressions membership.

To obtain the certificate of completion for a given track, faculty will be required to participate in about 15 hours of programming.

Curricula and certificates will be offered in the following tracks:

  • Faculty Success: New or Early Career Faculty will promote success in various aspects of a new or early career faculty member’s role and responsibilities.
  • Faculty Success: Mid-career and Senior Faculty will address topics relevant to faculty who have achieved tenure or promotion and seek to renew, reinvigorate or revise their trajectories.
  • Leadership Development will cover a range of topics relevant to both current faculty leaders and faculty who are interested in pursuing or learning more about academic leadership.
  • Inclusive Leadership and/or Leading through Change is open to faculty who are in administrative roles, including vice presidents, vice or associate deans, and department or division chairs.

To apply for the certificate program, faculty should submit a three- to five-sentence statement of interest to the Faculty Affairs, Diversity and Development office at faculty [at] pitt.edu on or before Feb.4.
