The University of Pittsburgh was included in the annual ranking of Best Value Colleges by the Princeton Review. Pitt is among 15 institutions in Pennsylvania to make the list of 209 schools.

The Princeton Review selected schools based on data collected from fall 2022 through spring 2023 via their institutional and student surveys, and on alumni and salary statistics from PayScale.com. A return on investment (ROI) rating was determined for each school by weighing more than 40 data points covering academics, costs, financial aid, debt, graduation rates and career and salary data.
