2 Pitt undergrads completed Pittsburgh Media Partnership internships

The Fort Pitt Bridge leads into Downtown Pittsburgh

Two undergraduate students at the University of Pittsburgh worked for the Pittsburgh Media Partnership throughout the fall 2023 semeter.

James Paul, a junior majoring in writing and law, criminal justice and society, and Betul Tuncer, a senior majoring in legal studies and media and professional communication, worked 10-15 hours each week to produce content for partnership members. Both students, who work for The Pitt News, wrote assigned articles and pitched their own stories. Read highlights from their work.

The Pittsburgh Media Partnership launched in 2020, and has 26 active partners, including Trib Total Media, Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as well as smaller outlets, such as the Mon Valley Independent and The Valley Mirror.
