The University of Pittsburgh virtually hosted the fifth annual Pitt Challenge from Oct. 22-24, a hackathon aimed at applying technological innovations to current healthcare problems. Teams worked intensively in a two-day competition to implement creative tech-based solutions to issues such as burnout, virtual learning and simulation.

The finalists’ projects focused on such ideas as using artificial intelligence to improve outcomes and improving the tracking of patient health histories. Team Winston won first place.
