Katz School’s Executive MBA program lands highest-ever ranking from Poets & Quants

a stone sign for the Katz school

The Executive MBA program within Pitt’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business is ranked No. 18 nationwide and No. 6 among public university programs in the 2022-23 Poets & Quants Executive MBA Ranking.

These are the highest-ever Katz rankings since the report started more than 10 years ago. The results are based on rankings from other highly respected publications such as the U.S. News & World Report, The Financial Times and The Economist.

The need for leaders who can leverage the capabilities of their organizations through strategy, operational excellence and evidence-based decision-making is greater than ever. That is where Katz’s executive programs can make a difference. The programs include: Executive MBA; Executive MBA in Healthcare; Foundations for Success: Healthcare Leadership and Business Fundamentals; and the new Doctor of Business Administration.

“Through degree and non-degree programs and services, and our dynamic faculty, we engage with leaders and their organizations in thought leadership, talent development and research,” said Kim Abel, executive director for executive degree programs and the Center for Executive Education.

The executive MBA programs are held one weekend per month for 19 months and emphasize experiential learning. They feature dynamic networks of talented and experienced cross-industry executives within the Executive MBA, and physician and clinician leaders and administrators across the spectrum of the health care industry within the Executive MBA in Healthcare. Students have 12-plus years of experience and a track record of managing or leading others.
