Junior Justin Crookston and sophomore Taylor Podob, both biological science majors at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, presented their research from an honors project in January.

Led by Assistant Professor Logan Johnson, the two studied drosophila — better known as fruit flies — as part of an honors designated genetics course at Pitt-Greensburg. Around 20 students attended the talk on their findings. The experience received funding support from Pitt-Greensburg’s Academic Village and the David C. Frederick Honors College.
