Forbes named Pitt a 2023 Best-In-State Employer

The University of Pittsburgh has been named one of America’s Best Employers by State in 2023 according to Forbes and Statista.

To develop the list, they surveyed 70,000 workers and asked them to rate their employer in several categories, including opportunities for advancement, gender pay equity and pride in the company’s services. Respondents also evaluated other employers. Pitt came in at No. 27 in Pennsylvania.

In prior rankings, Forbes has recognized Pitt as a Best Large Employer, a Top College and a Best Value College.
