The sun and the Cathedral of Learning show between tree branches

The University of Pittsburgh has been featured in the 2024 edition of the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). Pitt has been featured in the rankings every year since they began in 2012.

Nationally, Pitt rose to No. 41 overall and to No. 20 among public schools. Of 20,996 considered schools from around the globe, Pitt is ranked No. 75.

The CWUR are determined by quality of education, employability, quality of faculty and research indicators — including total output, high-quality publications, influence and citations — to rank the schools.
