The world is getting warmer and getting warmer more rapidly than ever before. Most of this warming has happened in the last 60 years and can be related to human activity.

Climatology is a science where knowledge is limited, modelling still difficult and where reproducing climate change in the laboratory and applying conventional scientific tests (i.e. altering one variable and examining the effects) not presently possible.

There is therefore continuing scientific debate and limited consensus.

Because the worst predictions are catastrophic, because huge fortunes are at stake, because the way of living of the rich west is terribly threatened then there is vested interest in trying to rubbish grave predictions and smear the scientists.

Likewise climate scientists can be blinkered, unwilling to accept data which contradicts their thesis. Because everyone is listening they are a powerful and influential lobby
