Transportation & Mobility

Whether you’re an experienced city cyclist or a carpool champ, these resources make it easy to get where you want to go:

Public transit

As a member of the Pitt community, you get fare-free rides on Pittsburgh Regional Transit buses and light-rails across Allegheny County. Pitt buses and shuttles get you to and from University facilities on and off campus.

Also, the Oakland neighborhood will soon be serviced by the city’s first bus rapid transit service corridor, the University Line. The project won’t just mean speedy transit between campus and downtown — it includes new sidewalks, accessible ramps, protected bike lanes and more.

Plus, Pitt is home to a comprehensive student-run bike shop, plenty of storage and parking options and two BikePGH Educators of the Year.
