The three studies were each implemented with a budget of
less than 5 000 US Dollars and had obviously an impact on
health service delivery in Zimbabwe. The success was made
possible by the characteristics of Health Systems Research
as mentioned before. Since a team of investigators comprising
managers, decision makers, service providers and the target
groups were involved in the research, it's results were easily
acceptable to all of them.
It is therefore recommended to apply HSR methodology in
other fields of the health sector, especially in the area
of Health Care Reforms
where most decisions are not based on solid information and alternative
options or consequences are often not considered.
