The World Health Organisation (WHO)
supported 'Joint Health Systems Research Programme' and the
GTZ
(German Development Co-operation) Programme for Health Systems
Research (HSR) have been supporting up to 17 countries of
Eastern and Southern Africa in capacity building for HSR,
giving financial and technical assistance to HSR studies,
facilitating the implementation of research recommendations
and trying to network the countries through newsletters,
electronic media, country visits, and inter-country workshops.
