The number of
hospitals was decreasing during the last years. Accordingly the politics on primary
health care the system of outpatient institutions keeps improving in Latvia. How it is in
the total system of health care, so in the primary health care there is insufficient
number of medical personnel with secondary education and still has tendency to decrease. Total growth of GNP in the last years was reached because of increase in productivity ( annual value added per one person employed national economy). Total GNP expenditure on health decreased from 4.1 in 1995 to 3.1 in 2000. |
