In 2000 there are ongoing insignificant changes in the dynamics of mortality (638 deaths less than year before). Deaths due to circulatory system diseases, the most common cause of death, are met more often than in previous year. Mainly there is increase of deaths due to acute myocardial infarction.

The male’s mortality still stays higher. It is also due to higher level of deaths caused by neoplasm ( especially in the age group over 60 ). Mainly those are neoplasm of respiratory and digestive system.

The external causes of death are on the third place in the structure of mortality. More often their life terminate males. The number of deaths due to poisoning and suicides has increase in the age 60 and over. The number of poisoning with alcohol between population increases considerably at working age and at the age over 60.
