We revealed
significant statistical difference in incidence of IDDM among children from industrial
Novosibirsk-City in comparison with children living in small towns and villages: 6,6 +
0,6 (95% confidence interval (CI): 5,5-7,6) and 4,1 + 0,4 ( 95% CI 3,4-4,8) cases
per 100 000 children respectively. The overall IDDM incidence in 1980-1999 study period
among Novosibirsk region children was 5,8 + 0,4 cases per 100 000 children and
there was no difference at incidence between boys and girls (95% CI for boys:4,8-6,7 and
for girls: 4,9-6,8). |
