It is not necessary, and is not usually desirable, to write the quality manual or other QMS documentation, under headings provided by applicable standards.

Not does the numbering within standards (e.g. the clauses of ISO 9001: 1994) need to be used to number sections of the quality manual.

The internal organisation and numbering of standards may change, in any case, when standards are revised.
