These comments on hand-washing to prevent the community spread of influenza, from Dr. Micheal Osterholm the lead scientist and head of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, and Professor Donald A Henderson (former dean, John’s Hopkins School PH) are also, right on target! 

The relative ineffectiveness of hand-washing for preventing the community spread of influenza was never acknowledged by CDC, WHO, or any major health departments or by the news media!
