Consequently health interventions and related medical research grew up. At the same time, variability in clinical practice (diagnosis, treatments, prevention methods) and an under-use of research might be observed. The reasons were ignorance of scientific advances and delay in its dissemination. Since 1960 medical research benefits from clinical epidemiology (clinical trials) and biostatistics (meta analysis). Parallel, scientific publications grow up and library sciences aided by computer sciences achieve an enormous progress. Epidemiology, biostatistics and library sciences are essential tools for EBHC
