The general purpose of EB journals is to select from health literature those articles reporting most important research in a specific discipline. In these journals, articles meeting predefined criteria, are abstracted in the form of “structured abstracts” that describe the question, methods, results and conclusions. Each abstract is reviewed by an expert who writes a brief commentary.
