The slide shows a very well-known definition in the evidence paradigm. EBM
implies a conscious choice on the part of practitioner and patient that explicit
and exact decisions will be made. The EB Medicine was developed in Canada to
teach medical students but was later applied to deal with clinical, management
and education problems. The concept have also moved from the individual patient
to the community and public health. Prof. D. Sackett and his colleges at Oxford
are encouraging its use all over the world.
