While we deal on a regular basis with all the usual aspects of epidemiology and public health, there are certain fields which take on special importance in the military setting. Some of these duties may be carried out solely by the epidemiologist, while others may be tended to by personnel from other disciplines, such as occupational medicine specialists and food hygienists.
