What types of jobs do engineers do?

Natural Sciences Manager

Natural Sciences managers supervise the work of scientists. These scientists can include but are not limited to chemist, biologist, and physicist. They manage activities and make sure everyone does what theyre supposed to do. Often times they supervise research and development. They are also involved in quality control of products and they conduct testing to ensure products are good.

The median salary for this career in $119850. Often times they work in their office, but can somtimes be seen in labs or on work sites. This job is extremely time consuming but if you are interested in the material can be very rewarding. These types of environmental engineers are in higher up positions and do more clerical work.

Hydrologist

Hydrologists are environmental engineers who focus on the study of water. Specifically how it moves through the earths crust. They research this in order to solve problems involving water quality and avaialability. They work to find ways to provide clean water to those who do not have easy access to it, such as in developing countries. Thi is an exremely important job, especially in our growing world and its population.

People with this job work in both offices and on the field. They must collect data in the field in the form of water. They work all over the world, in places that have water issues. They then must analyxe their data and model their findings, so for this they stay in the office. They use their findings to come to conlusions and sometimes come up woth unique solutions.
