This is a study that we did a few years ago with people undergoing sigmoidoscopy as part of the PLCO trial. We had 1200 people; we developed a questionnaire and validated it. We wanted to look at the experience of flex sig. We’d had that survey report where 48% of the doctors said that we wouldn’t order it because they thought the patients won’t like it. We wanted to know what people really think about it. In fact, what we found is people were very satisfied with the care, it wasn’t nearly as painful as what one might have expected, and this is something that we’ve seen over and over again. Around 93% are willing to have another one, and three quarters of the people would strongly recommend it to their friends. So I think we have some obstacles to deal with but potentially this is something that people will partake in, particularly if they begin to understand that they’re at risk and that they can save their lives from it.
