This slide shows lung cancer rates in Sweden and Norway in men and women. Note that prior to the 1970s the lines were very similar, but from the mid 1970s, male lung cancer started falling in Sweden, as smoking decreased and snus use increased. This effect was specific to men (as women havn’t started using snus until relatively recently).
