While estimates of RR (OR) are useful for determining the magnitude of an increase risk, they are not particularly useful from a clinical perspective.  Rather, a genotype-specific incidence rate, which estimate absolute risk, is easier for clinicians and patients to interpret because it can be expressed as a percent.
