We can do this because we know that OR are estimate of RR, which are ratios of incidence rates.  So, OR2S is an estimate of RR2S, which is the ratio R2S / R0S.  The other ORs are also estimates of their corresponding RRs.  Since we know the ORs already – we can use them in the equation by simple algebraic manipulations.
