One good way to evaluate a horse is by distance over time over pulse, having the exercise boy carry an oxymeter or
meter-radio that measures velocity over heart rate and blood oxygen saturation percent.

Heart rate increases as the horse increases velocity from a trot to slow gallop. Heart rate does not usually increase above 225 beats per minute. At this speed of exercise an increase in velocity results in a plateau of the heart rate. The highest heart rate measured then is referred to as maximum heart rate. V200 is the velocity of exercise at which the heart rate is 200 beats per minute.

This unused technique ! might allow easing up on the victim that cannot become a great athlete, but rather becomes another cripple.

Morning works are not like afternoon runs ! The horse should not become exhaused, but assessments are always made by stopwatch.
