The Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated strives to maintain the legacy that our 22 founders built – Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service. Celebrating our 88th year, we continue to build upon our Charter Members’ traditions by reaching out to our student body here at the University of Pittsburgh and by volunteering in our surrounding community. We welcome you to embrace OUR mission to be outstanding and elegant women of Delta.
Greetings,
The ladies of the Mighty Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated would like to invite you to our new and improved website. Take your time to explore our chapter’s history and upcoming events.
Mu Chapter has always been committed to carrying out the mission of our organization by centering our events around Delta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. We hold annual events such as Delta Fun Day, Arts and Entertainment Night and the Financial Fortitude Workshop that cater to our student body. Mu Chapter also gets involved in our community by working closely with the Family House, Gwen’s Girls and the Boys and Girls Club. This year we especially look forward to bringing back our primary fundraiser, the Crystal Ball Formal Dinner and Dance, as our celebration for our Charter Members and chapter anniversary on November 21st.
As women of Delta Sigma Theta, we yearn to make a difference in people’s lives and to accomplish our goals with the help and support of our fellow Sorors and friends. We encourage you to take part in our upcoming events and look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Kayla Comrie
President 2009-2010
