As our founders used their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need, the first public service act of the newly established sorority took place during the Women’s Suffrage March, for women’s right to vote, in March 1913 on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

The Grand Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has a membership of over 250,000 predominately African-American, college-educated women. The Sorority currently has 950-plus chapters located in the United States, Tokyo, Japan, Okinawa, Japan, Germany, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Seoul, Korea, and St. Thomas and St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and continuously growing stronger everyday.

The Sisters of Mu Chapter strive to honor the values and principles that our founders built this sisterhood on. Their hard work and dedication to build a sorority dedicated to community service and academic excellence still lives on.
