To better serve tribes, the Office of Tribal Affairs has adapted the EPA document “Working Effectively with Tribal Governments” and facilitates annual training of staff.  The training is conducted by Bonnie Paquin of Native American Technologies, Inc.

It is our hope that this training tool will introduce concepts such as sovereignty and consultation and coordination and that these will be implemented by staff in their health assessment and health consultation processes when working with tribes.
