The formal logical contentof statistics and probability, the intuitive background and applicibility of statistics all count, and we mustn't forget A. Kolmogoroff (1933) and many works by R von Mises. Amazingly, Fisher himself wrote 395 statistical papers and 8 books.
The purpose of this lecture is to clarify his role in statistics
and also to appreciate the practical applicability of biometrics
with some emphasis on genetics.
