For establishing of International standards, guidelines and recommendations emerging from SPS Agreement, there are appropriate international organizations.

These organizations are:

(a) Codex Alimentarius for for food safety and human health. The standards, guidelines and recommendations established by the Codex Alimentarius Commission concern food additives, veterinary drug and pesticide residues, contaminants, methods of analysis and sampling, and codes and guidelines of hygienic practice;

(b)International Office of Epizootics for animal health and zoonoses,

(c)International Plant Protection Convention for plant health,

(d) for matters not covered by the above organizations, appropriate standards, guidelines and recommendations are promulgated by other relevant international organizations as identified by the SPS Committee.
