A clear trend association was observed between ETS exposure and SBS symptoms, especially symptoms of the membrane (nose, eye, throat). Subjects in the workplaces with strict restrictions on smoking had reduced odds ratios (OR) for symptoms of the nose (OR=0.5), throat (OR=0.6), and skin (OR=0.6).
