Age of onset of asthma or wheezy breathing by synthetic bedding use at one month of age

Age of onset of asthma or wheezy breathing by synthetic bedding use at 1 month of age. Log-rank test for equality of survivor function, P=0.03. Solid line indicates synthetic pillow and quilt; dotted line indicates no synthetic pillow or quilt; heavy broken line indicates synthetic pillow, not quilt; light broken line indicates synthetic quilt, not pillow.

Age of onset analysis showed that, among children with asthma, synthetic bedding use in infancy was associated with an earlier onset of asthma symptoms. In subgroup analysis, this age-of-onset shift was particularly marked for children with frequent wheeze.
