The Malaria Eradication Program was launched as a World effort, but it never was established in Africa, which was left for a later period, after malaria was under control elsewhere. Among the perceived problems in Africa was the difficulty for the local Governments to contribute most of the resources for the campaign, as was done in other Regions.
