Explanation, Pluralism, and Representation

Kareem Khalifa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Middlebury College. He is the author of Understanding, Explanation, and Scientific Knowledge (forthcoming, Cambridge University Press) and articles on a range of subjects in the general philosophy of science, epistemology, and the philosophy of social science. While in Pittsburgh, Khalifa will be developing a new account of explanation grounded in an inferentialist semantics. When he is not philosophizing, he plays a variety of stringed instruments and posts many pictures of his dogs on Facebook.?
