Greg Frost-Arnold
Hobart & William Smith Colleges, USA
Spring Term 2016

Greg Frost-Arnold is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in upstate New York, and an alumnus of Pitt’s History & Philosophy of Science Ph.D. program.  He is the author of Carnap, Tarski, and Quine at Harvard: Conversations on Logic, Mathematics, and Science (Open Court 2013), as well as other articles and chapters on the history of analytic philosophy.  Greg has also published several pieces on the realism/ anti-realism debates.  While at the Center, he will attempt to extend this line of work by formulating a new and improved version the pessimistic induction.  Also while in Pittsburgh, he is also co-editing one volume of The Collected Works of Rudolf Carnap with Steve Awodey, who is next door at Carnegie Mellon.

When not working on philosophy, Greg currently enjoys reading Ted Chiang and Zadie Smith, watching The Good Place, and searching for the perfect Old Fashioned.
