Hernán Pringe
University of Dortmund
Academic Year 2006-07
A Transcendental Approach to Quantum Mechanics

Hernán works on transcendental approaches to quantum theory, trying to show how Kant has still something important to say concerning the foundations of physics. In particular, Hernán aims at developing a quantum metaphysics under the restrictions imposed by a critique of our cognitive faculty. His philosophical interests include moreover modern philosophy, German Idealism and Neokantianism.

Hernán was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he received a M.Sc. in Physics and a M.A. in Philosophy. Afterwards he moved to Germany, obtaining his PhD at the University of Dortmund.
