Science of the Universe? Physical Cosmology and our Limited Horizon
Claus Beisbart, University of Dortmund

Abstract: All our evidence is limited by our particle horizon. This poses a problem for cosmology, if cosmology is supposed to be the science of the Universe, as the cosmologist E. Harrison, e.g., put it. The talk describes the problem and classifies and evaluates alternative solutions to the problem.
