There's No Easy Road to Nominalism
Mark Colyvan

Abstract: In this paper I consider three recent attempts to advance nominalist philosophies of mathematics and I argue that each fails for much the same reason. Each of these proposals is presented as an easier alternative to Hartry Field's “hard road” to nominalism and yet each presupposes the success of (something like) the Field-style nominalization project.
