Located in the heart of the Jewish Community Center of Pittsburgh, the American Jewish Museum is the only museum in Western Pennsylvania dedicated to exploring Jewish art, history and culture. The museum operates as an effective forum to support, celebrate, and develop the living Jewish arts and artists, as well as a place to educate and learn.

Bringing in the best of contemporary art from throughout the country, promoting progressive regional artists, and presenting, the American Jewish Museum maintains an active role in developing the ever-evolving parameters of the correlative questions: What is Jewish thought and who is a Jewish thinker? What is Jewish art and who is a Jewish artist?

The museum offers cultural experiences outside of traditional venues for all citizens of the Western Pennsylvania region, promoting tolerance, acceptance, and multiculturalism.
