Cars in a parking lot

When is a parking space not a parking space?

On Friday, Sept. 17, when it becomes a park(ing) space: a temporary creative intervention in the urban landscape.

The University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Creativity will bring together partners from across campus to celebrate Park(ing) Day 2021 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Schenley Drive between Wesley W. Posvar Hall and Hillman Library.

The day will feature transformations of ordinary parking spaces by students and staff from the University Library System Archives and Special Collections; Parking, Transportation & Services; the Graduate School of Public Health; and ARTificial, the University’s student art club. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend.
