Pitt IT Offering July Teams Training

With so many groups both within and outside Pitt using remote tools to work and collaborate, now is the perfect time to learn more about the Microsoft’s Teams platform. During the month of July, Pitt IT will offer several introductory and next-step sessions, as well as one longer session that will combine information from both.

Microsoft Teams Super Session: Intro and Next Steps (2 hours)

Tuesday, July 7, 10 a.m.-noon

This session combines Pitt IT’s introduction to Microsoft Teams and Next Steps sessions. Learn how to leverage Teams for chatting, meeting, calling and collaborating—all in one place, no matter where you are. Topics include Teams navigation, when and how to create a team, creating and joining a meeting, channel organization and an overview of posts and files. Conversations and reactions, file co-editing, chatting, examples for different scenarios and management of a Team are also covered, along with an interactive exercise inside of an actual Team.

Microsoft Teams: 30-Minute Intro

Tuesday, July 14, noon-12:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 16, 10- 10:30 a.m.

Learn how to access or create a Team, navigate the platform and use Teams meetings—all in one place, no matter where you are. 

Microsoft Teams Next Steps (90 minutes)

Tuesday, July 21, noon- 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 29, 10-11:30 a.m.

Topics covered include conversations and reactions, file co-editing, chatting, Teams examples for different scenarios and management of a Team, along with an interactive exercise inside of an actual Team.
