Take the guess work out of which apps deserve to take up space on your mobile device. These are the must-haves for Pittsburgh campus students to make the most of your Pitt experience.

All apps are available for Android and iOS systems. Additional Pitt-related downloads can be found at the Pitt App Center.

For class and more

Pitt Mobile
Pitt Mobile is the multi-tool of apps. Get access to the University’s digital resources, including the events calendar, campus map, course information, and tuition payment options.

Duo Mobile
This multifactor authentication app is essential for accessing Pitt resources online and using Pitt Passport.

Canvas
Stay on top of your classes with Canvas. The app lets you access your course work and submit assignments; plus you can stay organized with calendar and to-do list functions.

For food

Dine on Campus
This is the official app for Pitt Eats. Use Dine on Campus to locate all your favorite dining (and coffee) locations, view daily menus, see hours of operation, and learn about any specials or and upcoming events.

Bonus App: Transact Mobile Ordering
Your favorite foods are at your fingertips with Transact Mobile Ordering. Order from multiple locations, customize your meal and easily pay with Meal Swap or Dining Dollars.

For getting around

Rave Guardian
Be proactive when it comes to your safety with the Rave Guardian app. Contact Pitt Police directly, submit tips anonymously via text and set safety timers when you’re alone or in unfamiliar places. Users also receive important crime and safety alerts, and can update contact preferences in the University’s Emergency Notification Service (ENS) right from the app.

TransLoc and Transit App
Navigate throughout the city and campus with ease using these two apps. TransLoc allows you to view Pitt shuttle schedules and routes while getting real time updates on their location. You can also track shuttles online.

The Transit App helps you travel the city using Pittsburgh Regional Transit buses, inclines and trolleys — all free with your Pitt ID. See upcoming departures and arrivals in real-time, plan your trip, view routes and receive departure and arrival notifications.

Bonus App: PBSC
Access Pittsburgh’s bike share program, POGOH, through the PBSC app and enjoy unlimited 30-minute rides on pedal bikes for free. The app also allows you to search for available bikes and parking stations.
