The University of Pittsburgh is seeking volunteers for upcoming commencement events.

Graduation Central at the University Store on Fifth needs volunteers to work shifts from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 11 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 12. Two-hour shifts are available, and duties will include regalia order fulfillment and directing students. Volunteers must attend virtual training the week of March 27.

The 2023 universitywide commencement is at the Petersen Events Center on April 30, with most volunteer shifts beginning 2.5 hours before the 1 p.m. ceremony. Workers will help register and direct the class of 2023 before the event begins, and are welcome to stay to watch the ceremony.

Anyone at Pitt is welcome to sign up, though staff should consult with their supervisors before volunteering. Register by March 24.
